The story of how I fell in love with working with clay began many years ago and it is an ongoing evolving process. The chance to breathe life into lumps of clay on my wheel, until they take form is what inspires me. Pottery is my passion and an extension of my life and is always influenced by my relationship and interaction I have with the clay at each moment. I enjoy working with larger pieces, exploring the different statements that size can make. The dynamic quality of wheel work made me a thrower with functional clay as my focus. I love the idea of pottery for use - that something I make might become a part of someone else's every day life.
