I have been making pottery since I discovered the ceramics studio at the Spruill Center for the Arts in Atlanta. Almost immediately, the studio became my second home and by the end of my first year of study, I was determined to pursue throwing pottery as my life's passion. Recently I have been working with larger more decorative pieces, exploring the different statements that size can make. I have relocated to St. Petersburg Florida, where I find tremendous inspiration from the pottery community.
The dynamic quality of wheel work made me a thrower with functional clay as my focus. I love the idea of pottery for use - that something I make might become a part of someone else's every day life.
All my work is stoneware clay, high fired with lead free glazes, microwave, oven, dishwasher safe and perfect for everyday use.
